The perfect infant head shape is not easy !!

Im on a mission to not get the perfect shaped infant head in clay .But to get as close as I can .

let me tell you its hard to get it round, let a lone infant oblong shape .

I have looked and studied every infant head ,I can get my eyes on . and its harder than it looks !

Thats why it belongs to the lord because it is perfect .

I will still go on and study and practice sculpting the infant head so I may get kind of close .

There is nothing more beautiful or well shaped than the infant head !

Im working on a new sculpt! I think its another girl .Thats the funny thing about it .

My art dolls become what there going to be on there on .Girl or boy thats just up to the clay.

Still Sculpting !!

I havent sculpted the last few days Ive had a lot going on
I have a new grandson .and my mind seems to be on him right now but maybe tonight ill get back in to the swing of things
I do have one little darling ready and waiting for a new parent so theres no big hurry .
Shes a cutie and sound to sleep
I love sculpting the sleepers but need to practice on aweak babies also

I Love sculpting babies in polymer clay.
I have been sculpting (practicing ) for a few years.
I have found the more I practice the better I get .
Dont get me wronge now Ive had alot bad days where Ive said I quit
it looks like an old man .

Im learning more every time I sculpt .I want to reach a point to where I can capture the realistic newborn baby look to my
works of art .
If I had to say one thing that would help other sculptors .It would bee to practice and Dont give up. Because your Moma will tell ya Practice makes perfect !!:)

First let my say a little about myself and my Hobby That I love so much!!!!

Im Married with children and grand children.

and I live in a small country town in Tenn.

Now for my hobby or for a better word( my passion!!).

Sculpting newborn babies from polymer clay.

I discovered sculpting one day when I was bored and typed in clay on a search

and that was that. I was hooked .I came across a site some how in my search that was dolls in clay .WEll I dont have to say no more . My next trip to town was accompanied by a list of sculpting supplies.Thats been a few years ago .

I have learned the basics and now im on a mission to make my babies look more realistice and life like .I have a long way to go. But practice every day .And practice makes perfect :)
